Stating that “Courage does not make us right. It makes us Bold. Courage allows us to step out.” David L Peterson is terrifically correct. Amazing how a courage statement like this just “challenges” the mind to prove its worth.
Change, or change acceptance, was not something that was taught in schools. Most of us don’t have any idea how to get started on change within out lives. Others of us got into trouble for challenging the status quo.
When we fought back there was either bullying to cope with or to become. Somewhere the next choice was to withdraw.
Did it matter that we knew there was another way? The answer now is…..
…something has to give in order for other things to begin to move forward. Friends, family, rest time. Just not finding the time mixed with juggling other things just to fit in one more thing for the just over broke feeling of coming home and sleeping.
Associated to these was the fact that I had to be prepared to challenge myself. Accept the changes. Then to change. Change myself, how I approached what I was doing. Know self-worth and experience self-value. Share these was easy, drawing them out from others was a given.
Finding, sorting out, appreciating and actioning these within myself, now that was harder to accept and then do.
Can you hurry up on the changing with a realistic “I have no idea how to get started” feeling. That’s when turning to the internet became an only way forward.
I will not lie here cause it was not easy morphing into what was the beginning of realizing the real potential within myself. Where some people use as an excuse in delaying change due to work, family or culture mine was both the Autism and the Post-traumatic Stress issues combined with needing to relearn the learning process. Definitely, a rude shock there as these were now excuses.
Admittedly the wheel is turning slowly. Yet creating this alternative Digital Lifestyle is the most satisfying journey to a lifetime of discovery that I have ever been on.
